NAO Controller Android App
A team of three Master of Science in Software Engineering students enrolled in the CPE 656/658 Software Engineering Studio course sequence have developed an app that allows an Android-based cellphone to control a NAO robot.
Key features of the app include:
Elimination of the middleman PC-based software to create a portable demonstration system
Tilt-based movement control
Deadman switch to prevent unintended movement
The ability to program movement sequences which can be saved for future use and loaded on demand
Battery monitor that commands the NAO robot to sit before battery charge drops to unsafe level
Video streaming to mobile device
